What is the SHINE/CHP Exemplar Programme?
The Exemplar Sustainable Healthcare Buildings Programme is a partnership between Community Health Partnerships (CHP) and SHINE - the learning network for sustainable healthcare buildings. The aim of the programme is to create a series of world-class sustainable buildings and increase the delivery of higher sustainability standards on other new LIFT projects.
The programme will include two major strands of work:
1. Exemplar projects:
The teams will support and champion exemplar sustainability approaches on four or five new LIFT projects, geographically spread around the UK and covering a range of building types and project scales.
2. Education and knowledge transfer:
The programme will promote sustainable practices and technologies to a wide audience of PCTs, LIFT Cos and their partners, through a series of training and learning events and a collection of project case studies.
The exemplar programme was launched at the SHINE/CHP Sustainability Summit in Salford on 9th September 2008. Click here for more details.
